PiYO Weeks 2 & 3

I may have become addicted to PiYO.  This workout series has seriously been one of the most enjoyable and energizing series I have used.  During weeks 2 & 3 I lost 3 lbs, and another overall 3 inches. When you take that this loss is spread out over two weeks I am losing about 1.5 lbs a week and about 1.5 inches.

I wouldn’t say its been a drastic or severe change weight wise, but I’m always looking for a healthier lifestyle and healthy weight loss. 

Core, Buns and Strength Intervals have become my favorite workouts.  The first two focus on your Core and Buns (as one might assume from the name) and Strength Intervals gives you bursts of cardio exercises followed by some serious strength training using only your body weight.   But don’t let that fool you.  Even though you are only using your body weight you’re still working hard and getting results.  As Charlene would say, “You burn, burn, burn until you almost can’t take it anymore and then you get the release.” And oh, it feels so good.

There may or may not have been some less than lady like language when I began to do these 3 workouts, but the more I’ve done them, the more I’ve come to love them and have a deep appreciation for how they make me feel mentally and physically.

Mentally, I feel calmer and happier after each session.  I also feel proud and confident about myself.  Physically I feel my flexibility has improved dramatically over the past 3 weeks.

As you know from future posts, I already eat a pretty clean and healthy diet so keeping that up hasn’t been much of an issue.
